Abstract:
Based on recent public debates about the role of Polish society in the genocide of Jews, and in the light of studies on the structure and history of anti-Semitism in Poland, an analysis is made of how collective (the ruling Law and Justice Party, PiS) and, too, individual (?memory entrepreneurs?) operate. How has the PiS reframed the ?Jewish question? since 2015? The case of a Warsaw-based Anglo-Israeli businessman, Jonny Daniels, is examined. The actions pursued in this field have different rationales, domestic (in relation to voters) and international (the maintenance of good relations with Israel and the United-States).
