Abstract: The impact of the ongoing pandemic on social spending is still very uncertain. On an exploratory basis, it can be argued that it will probably be limited on retirement pensions, certainly very significant on health insurance expenditure and perhaps only to a large extent temporary on unemployment benefits. With regard to other benefits, it is still too early to say.
