Jean-Pierre Bréchet and Nathalie Schieb-Bienfait

Revue d'économie industrielle, 2006, vol. n° 113, issue 1, 1-1

Abstract: This article deals with the organizational emergence and morphogenesis of a organic farming in a theoretical and sociological perspective. The purpose is to integrate the notion of project into the effort of theorization of the construction of collective action and competitive regulation. We firstly consider an endogenous analysis which focuses on social relations and power games. Secondly, we propose to study the organizational phenomenon by introducing actors? projects. The concept of project is defined as articulating rationalisation and regulation of collective action. This alternative approach allows to develop a time-based perspective, which takes into account both political and economical dimensions in the construction of collective action and regulation.
