Abstract:
?Since their creation in 2005, competitiveness clusters have been defined as a structuring instrument of French industrial policy. From the implementation of an evaluation model that is well-identified in the literature, this work proposes a quantified estimation of the clusters? effects on employment for the companies taking part in R&D projects labeled by the clusters. This observation was carried out on the basis of the construction of an original database and the mobilization of a double difference evaluation method. This article highlights the positive and significant effect of French competitiveness clusters on employment.?
