Abstract: Studies on entrepreneurial teams tend to focus on particular elements of the team formation process, neglecting a whole picture of the process that takes into account the team dynamics. Using seven case studies, we show that it is necessary to have a deep understanding of the team formation process, including the pre-creation period and the exit/entry of team members. This approach provides several issues that generate new research questions for the topic.
