Abstract:
The success of entrepreneurs is traditionally associated with business performance and according to this definition, businesses run by women are less successful than those run by men. Our research which is based on 10 case studies of female entrepreneurs proposes to step back from the typical approach that focuses on objective perspectives in order to analyze the perception women have of their entrepreneurial career success. Consequently, our findings propose a definition of entrepreneurial career success and more specifically a definition of female entrepreneurial success.
