Abstract:
Many studies have been carried out, on one hand, on SMEs (Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and, on the other hand, on the intrapreneurial approach. But few studies deal with the intrapreneurial dynamic that emanates from the setting up of a Corporate Social Responsibility procedure with middle managers driven by an SME and, more particularly, an Intermediate-Sized Enterprise (ETI). Based on a qualitative methodology, we analyze the cognitive mechanisms activated by middle managers of an ETI in an intrapreneurial innovative approach of CSR. We demonstrate in our results that intrapreneurial innovation results not only from the mobilization of individual and collective cognitive mechanisms, but also from a formal and informal consultation between middle management and senior management.
