Évolution des écosystèmes entrepreneuriaux: pour un triptyque configurationnel

Karim Messeghem and Laurence Cloutier

Revue de l'Entrepreneuriat, 2023, vol. Hors Série 2, issue HS2, 141-175

Abstract: Although there is a growing interest for entrepreneurial ecosystem in literature, its dynamic dimension is not sufficiently taken into account. This evolutionary-inspired article proposes a triptych context, structure and dynamics to compare ecosystems path dependence. Entrepreneurial ecosystems analysis of Montpellier and Toulouse reveals two configurations, one political and the other industrial. The results contribute to complex adaptive systems approach enrichment by proposing a decomposition of the path dependence in the form of sub-ecosystems and sequences. They prove useful for policy makers by providing a dynamic representation of their entrepreneurial ecosystems.
