Abstract:
Since 1984, the OFCE has developed a quarterly macroeconometric model for the French economy, which has been used both for budget policy analyses and short and medium term forecasts. This model evolved, along with current theoretic and econometric advances. It was simplified and estimated with the national accounts data. Mosaïque has become e-mod.fr (economic-model.France). This model assumes the French economy reacts in a neo-keynesian way : as producing factors are not fully used, the global demand determines supply in the short run. Then, the production level influences prices and thus demand behaviour. Behavioural equations are resituated in the context of current research, insisting on government. We describe as well how we solved some practical problems every modeller meets : estimation methods, long run properties, autocorrelation.
