Cyrille Hagneré

Revue de l'OFCE, 2004, vol. 88, issue 1, 103-118

Abstract: Since the 1st January 2004, the recipients of the French guaranteed income (RMI) can benefit by a new employment program, named ?Contrat d?insertion ? Revenu minimum d?activité? (CIRMA). This article proposes to study the prospects for this new measure. With this intention, we use the results of different studies allowing on the one hand, to characterize the situation of the RMI beneficiaries on the labour market, and on the other hand, to evaluate the efficiency of the employment policy. The characteristics of the CIRMA are also analysed in order to approach the incentive aspects.
