Les dividendes du carbone. Le cas des États-Unis

Revue de l'OFCE, 2020, vol. N° 165, issue 1, 97-115
Abstract:
This article proposes the adoption in the United States and beyond of a "carbon price and dividend" strategy in order to mitigate climate change, a strategy based on ecological efficiency as much as on social justice. I first review the ecological efficiency arguments which plead for the establishment of targeted carbon price, I then present the logic and the expected results in terms of income distribution of the introduction of ?carbon dividends?. Codes JEL: Q3, Q5, D3, D6.
