Une première application du théorème de Perron-Frobenius à l'économie: l'abbé Potron comme précurseur

Gilbert Abraham-Frois and Emeric Lendjel

Revue d'économie politique, 2001, vol. 111, issue 4, 639-665

Abstract: Maurice Potron is a Jesuit polytechnician who made publications between 1911 and 1936 ; his work seems both considerable and quite unknown. His publications concern also mathematics (non-negative matrices preceding Frobenius work) but this paper will be mainly concerned with économics; Potron made the first construction of a simplified input-output table and over-all he was the first to propose application of Perron-Frobenius theorem to economic analysis.
