Allocation du temps et propriétés cycliques du modèle d'appariement sur le marché du travail

Abstract:
This article is devoted to the cyclical properties of the labor market search model with exogenous job destruction. Its internal propagation mechanism of shocks has been criticized for requiring too strong labor market constraints. Here, its predictions are compared according to the employment rate definition and the variability of the allocations of time to work and to job search. The results show that the model with endogenous allocations of time is able to replicate both the labor market stylized facts and the persistence of output.
