Abstract:
From the economic approach of the value of life, this paper deals with the compensation awarded to the victims contaminated by AIDS through transfusion or injection of bloods products in France. This is not a ?classic? case of wrongful injury, because the damage is related to the prospect of their own death. The disease is progressive and probably fatal, so that the determination of a compensation requires the use of a theoretical model in a risky world.
