Abstract: We analyse migration for young new entrants on french labour market, when leaving schoolandgettingajob.Aneconometrictestofamodelofdecisionisissued,basedon an estimation of net benefits associated with choice, using data permitting a precise knowing of spatial localization and different thresholds of distance mobility. We find that potential wage net benefit is an important determinant of the migration decision, associated with other individual characteristics and education variables and with characteristics of the origin and destination region. We also find a selection effect for migrants et non migrants and a significative wage benefit for migrants.
