Abstract:
This article explores some questions raised in the recent book by Philippe Aghion, Céline Antonin and Simon Bunel. The central motivation of this book was to know how to resume economic growth after the pandemic crisis. The article emphasizes two particular aspects. One is the the need to compensate for job losses resulting from disruptive technologies. The other one is related to the importance of public choices in guiding the process of creative destruction.
