Abstract:
French farming underwent major changes in its productive space throughout the nineteenth century due to fast demographic disruptions and a wavering economic growth until 1929. Some major farming areas date back to that time. However, we shall show here that integrating new ways of farming ? more focused on quality ? from the mid ? twentieth century onwards disclosed other territories which have also had lots of influence on their neighbourhood. Concentric patterns typical of farming economics have also come into being recently. Farming of origin labelled products is not to be found on the same territorial basis. Classification JEL : Q10, R12, O50.
