Abstract: The object of this article is to put forward a quantitative evaluation of the respective weight of different structures pertaining to the social economy in the Midi-Pyrénées Region. The choice of a regional base follows from the main characteristic of the social economy : its structure born of local initiatives which later join together at national and European levels. Classification JEL : R 19.
