Abstract:
This study tries to delve into the divergences in performance within the same industry arising from location in different regions, on one side, and from differences in the size of the firms, in another. With that purpose, a new model for performance assessment with 23 variables is applied over a representative sample of firms pertaining to the Spanish lighting industry. Application of the non parametric homogeneity techniques serves to determine the variables shaping the so-called territory or « regional » effect and the « firms size » effect. Classification JEL : L25, L68, R12.
