Abstract: The purpose of this article is to study the evolution from 2000 to 2005 of housing affordability in the Paris Region for first-time buyers. Moreover, we focus on the inequalities in the affordability distribution for these households. To achieve this goal, we need to estimate a hedonic price index corresponding to first-time buyers demand that is essentially concentrated on small size goods.
