Revue d'économie régionale et urbaine, 2009, vol. décembre, issue 5, 957-974

Abstract: In Quebec, the peripheral cities and regions are affected by youth migration. This paper aims to link representations of space to intentions to migrate among youth. Thus, we looked at the intra-urban variations of the migratory intentions of the youth in Saguenay using a survey. This research which is inspired by social ecology studies emphasizes on the relationships between social areas, built environments and attachment units, from one side, and the representations and intentions of young adults, on the other side.
