Abstract: In order to build a territorial diagnosis on employment at a very detailed geographical level, into the Languedoc-Roussillon region, we use two administrative data sources about two different populations, jobseekers registered at the national employment agency (ANPE) and the recipients of the guaranteed minimum income. We find that the inequalities in access to employment among territories are pronounced for the two populations. However, the geography of unemployment-to-work transitions is not the same for recipients of the guaranteed minimum income and for the ANPE jobseekers. This finding opens new perspectives for employment policies.
