Abstract: This contribution proposes to define a method for evaluating the quality of public spaces "QUEP" in a development project, defining a decision and design tool in the context of sustainable development. The application of the method in the intermediate phase on a project of ?exchange pole? in Algiers lies on the best quality criteria and assessment indicators. It highlights the failures and quality of the project with regard to the requirements for public space quality.
