La présidentialisation du système français depuis 2002 à travers la fonction de popularité

Abstract: The goal of this paper is to provide an estimate of executive popularity functions in France for the period 2002-2016. We test the responsibility hypothesis and do use economic, subjective and political variables on popularity. Results show that tested variables are significant and highlight that president cannot use his prime minister as a scapegoat. This article emphasizes that French political system has evolved to a presidential system, where executive responsibility is twofold impacting both president and prime minister.
