Abstract:
The percentage of young people who had at least one episode of self-employment during the first seven years after school has doubled in 12 years. A later recourse to self-employment in the young people’s career paths is nevertheless observed, but in favor of a greater sustainability of their first entrepreneurship activity. These changes can be attributed to changes in the structure of the population of school leavers (level of education, parents’ socio-professional category, residential autonomy, etc.) and to changes in the behavior of young people.
