Abstract:
The aim of the article is to study the impact of the different variables of corporate governance on the performance Tunisian firms?. Internationally, there are three systems of corporate governance: market system ; network system and an intermediary system. Tunisia has adopted the last one. The empirical study of the relationship between performance and corporate governance shows that the adoption of such a mechanism to controle managers does not usually have a significant effect on the performance. But of 43 quoted firms (1995-2000 period) the present study shows that there is a statistically significant relationship between corporate governance systems and performance.
