Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to outline essential facets in supply chains risks and an approach to make and analyze decisions in a supply chain framework. In particular, we assume that that firms participating in a supply chain seek to make more money than going it alone and at the same time expect not to regret their decision. Thus, we provide a gaming-risk framework for dealing with selected problems in the management of operations in a supply chain environment which recognize both their motive for profit and no regret. Examples contrasting this approach with traditional and other approaches are then considered. Extensions of this approach as well as applications are suggested and provide thereby opportunity for further and extensive applied research.
