Abstract:
The current economic environment is generally characterized by volatile markets, products with short life cycles, and geographically dispersed companies. In order to ensure a better cooperation on the management of their flows, many companies set up temporary supply chains reconfigurable as needed. These are often organized around a central actor (pivot) performing relativity stable fonctions. This article identifies through two complementary case studies, a new role of ?pivot assembler? to better take into account the various temporality of supply chains.
