Abstract:
Some SSE firms claim to have a democratic functioning whose articulation with the management of a competitive business is a source of managerial tensions. The article deals with a specific tension linked to the differentiation of knowledge and skills among members, where firms run the risk of a democratic governance decline. The case study of a company of several hundred members contributes to explore the design of appropriate management devices, organizing the circulation of knowledge and learning.
