Abstract:
Conditions leading to risk taking during the volitional phase are examined. The study draws upon a sample of 163 student-entrepreneurs. Several configurations are described using the technique of fuzzy set Qualitative Comparative Analysis. Risk taking occurs when intention combines to one or two form of commitment. When intention is not a condition, only one form of commitment is sufficient for risk taking to occur.
