Abstract:
This article focuses on the anchoring of a Heritage Sports Event (HSE) in its territory, from an entrepreneurial perspective. We mobilize the notion of territory as a constructed space, as well as the concept of territorial resource, which we articulate to the business model framework. Our research is based on a longitudinal case study of an event that has become the first trail running in France: the Festival des Templiers, in Millau. Our results allow us to propose a model of anchoring and reveal four mechanisms of value creation and sharing. Our research thus contributes to documenting the recent concept of HSE.
