Abstract:
The development of the Internet has been accompanied by new expression modes for free economic practices. However, based on the examination of the principles underlying three free environments ? governmental, inter-individual, and corporate ? and the observation of their relative isolation, a hypothesis for possible convergence in the case of free software development is advanced. The hypothesis emphasises the construction of the compromises and frameworks required for common collective action to be effective.
