La responsabilité sociale environnementale des entreprises: une réponse économique à la politisation de la production

Patrick Chaskiel and Marie-Gabrielle Suraud

Revue française de socio-Economie, 2009, vol. n° 4, issue 2, 99-116

Abstract: The environmental dimension of Corporate Social Responsibility raises questions which differ from the problems of wage relations and market competition. Thus, we can consider that the manifestation of a corporate responsibility aims at releasing political constraint put on production by state and public opinion. Therefore, referring to an environmental responsibility may be analysed as a way to reintroduce the economic dimension in public debate which appears to have been put aside as stakes of industrial growth.
