Du chômage dans le rugby ?

Sébastien Fleuriel and Joris Vincent

Revue française de socio-Economie, 2014, vol. n° 13, issue 1, 151-170

Abstract: In France, the official opening of elite rugby professionalism (1996) leads, to the setting up of a labor market and the development of short-term contracts promoting players mobility. This implies for some players without a contract to declare themselves unemployed. This paper tries to understand how unemployment is possible, who is mainly concerned, as well as to examine the process of desocialization which keeps some players away from the labor market.
