Abstract:
Effective in more than 100 communities in Brazil, community development banks are a major phenomenon of Brazilian solidarity economy. Referring to the theoretical contributions of Karl Polanyi, this paper proposes an analysis of the plural organizational logics of the first Brazilian community development bank, Banco Palmas.
