Les financiers sont-ils néoclassiques ? Conceptions indigènes de la valeur des acteurs du capital investissement

Abstract:
Based on ethnographic data and an analysis of forty-eight interviews, this article describes private equity actors? own conceptions of value. Using a pragmatic price valuation approach, this paper studies the salience of a substantive, so-called neoclassical, definition of value among these investors. It shows that they reject this definition when they talk about their valuation process, but refer to it when they need to justify this process.
