Se « recentrer » sur son « cœur de métier ». L’externalisation des services généraux des entreprises

Abstract:
Between the late 1980s and the 2000s, in the wake of the tide of companies refocusing on their ?core business,? general services were massively outsourced, and their management was profoundly changed, following the logic of managerial and commercial rationalization. Studying the changes of the occupational group of general service directors, as well as the evolution of their practices and their professional rhetoric, means understanding both the material and ideological foundations of this conversion to market logic.
