Revue internationale de droit économique, 2001, vol. t. XV, 1, issue 1, 77-100
Abstract:
Legal aid systems and more precisely the French legal aid, have never been studied by specialists of Law and Economics. However, these legal aids directly affect determinant variables which explain access to court and demand of Justice: trial and negotiation costs. This article is the first economic study about theoretical consequences of French legal aid on plaignant?s incentives to sue and on conflict issue : settlement or trial.
