Éthique et données à caractère personnel (Approche française et européenne)

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to determine the place and functions of ethics in relation to personal data. On the one hand, personal data law relies on ethics as an instrument to ensure compliance of personal data processing. On the other hand, ethics seems to develop beyond personal data law to address technological developments or to promote other business models than those allowed by personal data law. In so doing, ethics makes it possible to ensure better protection of the persons concerned by promoting informational self-determination in particular.
