L'indispensable régulation des marchés financiers
Pierre Delsaux
Reflets et perspectives de la vie économique, 2004, vol. XLIII, issue 2, 43-56
Abstract:
The article first sketches out the brand new concepts and processes for the regulation of financial markets recommended to the EU by the high-level international experts committee headed by Prof. Lamfalussy. It then draws a synthesis of the main achievements and the current state of play for the work in progress with respect to the ?Financial Services Action Plan? adopted at the European summit of Lisbon (April 2000). The paper concludes with a brief exposition of the author?s views about the goals to be assigned to the public regulation of financial markets.
