Abstract:
Transport systems economical impacts justify great efforts to collect and analyse data on mobility. Recently, Belgium ran, at last, nation wide and regional travel surveys. Descriptive analyses of survey data are very useful but limited as a comprehensive tool to explain travel demand and its spatial component. We present here the research methods and modelling techniques that will draw more comprehensive information on individual travel behaviours and spatialisations from these rich sets of data.
