Les nouvelles modalités de gestion du « capital humain ». Une radioscopie des relations de travail en Wallonie

Stephen Bouquin

Reflets et perspectives de la vie économique, 2005, vol. XLIV, issue 2, 71-81

Abstract: The author provides a summary of recent inquiry concerning recent trends of work organisation and human resources management in the manufacturing sector in Belgian Wallonia. Most of the recent developments are confirmed : the push towards flexibility, both internal and external as well as the growing importance of certification, intensification and polyvalence, the combination of both taylorist production schemes and newer ones like lean production. Other trends like the very first importance of interim work to get integrated in the core-workforce are identified for the first time on a broader base. The employers are asking more and more from the workers. The answers on the side of the workers show a growing dissatisfaction although the risk of unemployment keeps them muted in most companies.
