Abstract:
The issues of education are considerable, both for the youths? personal development and as a preparation for their integration into society. In the light of international studies, education in the French-speaking Community of Belgium is relatively inefficient. However, it is fairly well funded, and the supervision rate is high in compulsory education. It is therefore important to review the organization of our education system. Several tracks are proposed here, based on a number of principles: assessment, decompartmentalization, freedom and responsibilization of schools and teachers, responsibilization of students and parents. The shortage of teachers is also addressed, as well as the regionalization of our teaching.
