Le rôle international de l'euro
Fabien Labondance
Reflets et perspectives de la vie économique, 2010, vol. XLIX, issue 4, 47-58
Abstract:
This article deals with the international role of the European currency. It appears that the euro is more and more important in the international monetary system, and it?s now the second key currency, far behind the dollar, but before the yen. Nevertheless, the ambiguities of the European economic governance make the international management of the euro inefficient. Because of that, the euro doesn?t seem to be in capacity of drastically influencing the rules of the international monetary system.
