Abstract:
In the context of the Europe 2020 Strategy adopted by the European Union (EU) in June 2010, a target has been set to reduce poverty and social exclusion. It is the first time that such a target is adopted at EU level. How does the targeted population look like? What are the indicators used for defining it? What are the main challenges for Belgium? These are the main questions addressed in this paper.
