Panorama de l'industrie Turque face à la concurrence chinoise

Abstract: Turkey was not an industrial newcomer when it shifted to an export oriented strategy in 1980 that lead to a Custom Union in 1995. While the industrial sector did resist to the European competition, it suffered from the macro economics disequilibria that led to the 2001 crisis. The economy has recovered and the industry can bank on its potential in a world environment modified by Asian emergence on European as well as Turkish market. Turkey has maintained its market share in the UE by relying more on Chinese semi finished products imports. Turkey has so far failed to benefit of Asian dynamism.
