Revue Tiers-Monde, 2011, vol. n°205, issue 1, 135-150
Abstract:
This paper examines the trajectories and uses of the concepts and policy instruments promoted by the World Bank in Mali. Building on a multidisciplinary approach, it shows that these are contested notions in the ?strategic arena? of international aid, and lead to competing understandings, practices and discourses, and unexpected effects.
