La Chine et l'Amérique latine: le grand chambardement ?

Abstract: While some see the phenomenal growth of China and its huge needs for raw materials as an Eldorado for Latin America, others are concerned about the destabilizing effects of new trade flows and their inherent trade diplomatic effects on both production networks and integration processes. In a short time, the Latin American economic map was completely reshaped. Yet, we do not know what the final result might be. We can be certain however ? and many authors make this clear ? that the situation raises important questions, both regarding development patterns and the future of bilateral relationships. Both issues are currently contingent on the Chinese authorities and their vision of development.
