Abstract:
?As a tool of transmission of values, know-how, even social-skills, training allows to shed light on trade union commitment and militant socialization. As an instrument of legitimization, it uncovers the ?effects of rhetoric?, and the gap between confederate speeches and the practices as well. The study of the training courses proposed by the CFE-CGC enlightens the specificities, the activity and the identity of this trade union in France. This training is very pragmatic; it appears to be more a tool of transmission of ?know-how? than activist?s cultural integration. In the face of the challenges of trade union renewal and of the reform of representativeness, the CFE-CGC is confronted with organizational stakes of development. The professionalization, the development of a trade unionism in the service of its members and the emergence of the figure of the manager brings to light evolutions of trade unionism as well as the uniqueness of a commitment within the company.?
