CHARACTERISTICS OF LONG-TERM UNEMPLOYMENT SPELLS IN ROMANIA

Abstract: The aim of this paper is to analyze characteristics of long-term unemployment spells in Romania and to estimate the effect of factors influencing long-term unemployment spells. The study period is in between January 1st 2008 and December 31st 2010. 468159 long-term spells registered in the specified period at the National Agency of Employment are analyzed.
